HOW WE WORK

1

FREE CONSULTATION

At Studio FRI, we understand each client has their own individual requirements and that no 2 projects are ever the same. We offer an initial free consultation so that both parties can get to know each other, discuss the project and talk about how to move forward with the project.

2

SITE VISIT & SURVEY

Every project begins with a site visit and discussion of your brief. Most schemes then require a measured survey, where Studio FRI records the property’s exact dimensions to produce accurate drawings that inform the design.

3

The Planning Stage is a critical phase in the architectural process, where we transform an initial idea or concept into a detailed proposal ready for submission to the local planning authority. This stage involves a series of important steps, all designed to ensure that the project aligns with planning regulations, local policies, and the needs of the client. Where necessary, we may recommend bringing in other advisors, such as planning consultants and heritage consultants, to assist us in preparing your planning application.

4

BUILDING REGS

Once planning consent is secured, we prepare all the necessary construction information for a contractor to carry out the work. We consider all elements of the construction process to mitigate the risk of problems arising on site. We also assemble the wider team of consultants needed to develop the design. Once the construction pack is ready we submit the drawings to the Local Authority Building Control for Building Regulations  sign off.

Once the project gets underway, we regularly visit the site to meet with you and your contractor, to ensure that our drawings are being implemented correctly, that the workmanship is of a good quality, and to deal with any surprises that pop up along the way.
