Studio FRI has proudly been part of Just Padel’s success story from the very beginning, acting as the lead architectural consultant for all of their indoor padel developments. As a specialist in sports architecture and leisure facility design, Studio FRI provides a complete range of architectural services for padel facilities, helping to turn underutilised spaces into thriving, modern sporting destinations.
Our role extends far beyond architectural design. At Studio FRI, we have managed the end-to-end planning process for Just Padel Preston, Just Padel Bolton, and Just Padel Blackpool—delivering comprehensive support from the initial concept through to planning approval. Each project has involved the conversion of industrial units (Use Class B2/B8) into vibrant, modern leisure facilities (Use Class E(d)), bringing life back to vacant commercial spaces and creating purpose-built destinations for indoor padel in the UK.
Our services include detailed site feasibility studies to help secure the most viable and commercially attractive locations. We prepare and submit all planning drawings, full planning applications, and comprehensive planning statements, ensuring every scheme aligns with local planning policy. In addition, we produce and coordinate essential technical reports, including Noise Impact Assessments (NIA), Transport Statements (TS), and Advertisement Consent Applications, providing a fully packaged solution for planning permission for padel courts.
Beyond planning, Studio FRI also coordinates the wider design and delivery process, working closely with external consultants, planning authorities, and contractors. We oversee every step of the journey, from design development through to construction, ensuring that each Just Padel facility is delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest professional standard.
